Double-board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine and licensed in Acupuncture, Dr. Woodbury is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at Emory University School of Medicine and the Vice Chair of Research for the Department.
She is also a Staff Physician at the Atlanta Veterans Affairs Healthcare System, Division of Pain Medicine (which she founded), Department of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Woodbury has served on several international committees and currently sits on the Committee on Research, American Society of Anesthesiologists and Educational Track Subcommittee on Pain Medicine, American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) and was recently elected to the Board of Directors for the United States Association for the Study of Pain (USASP).
She is the principal investigator on several federally funded studies regarding chronic widespread syndromes, including fibromyalgia.
Pain specialization: Dr. Woodbury has presented nationally and written book chapters, articles and clinical reviews on integrative medicine and its applications for chronic pain management, anesthesia, and neuroprotection. Her clinical expertise and research interests include the use of interventional procedures and complementary therapies for the management of pain.
